Skier Dies In Collision With Snowboarder in La Plagne

French police are investigating after a skier died when he was in collision with a snowboarder at the crossing of two pistes in La Plagne.

The accident happened in the Grande Rochette area, on the red Carina piste on New Year’s Eve. The man who died was a 47-year-old on holiday with his family. He was hit by a 40-year-old snowboarder. The rescue services and police were on scene quickly but the skier died within minutes due his head injuries.
