Paradiski Snow Report & Weather Forecast 08.02.16

By JP of Aim Ski School

What a start to the week!

On Sunday it was a windy start to the day, which caused a delayed opening of some of the lifts in Arc 2000. The snow conditions off piste were best found high and on the north facing slopes unaffected by the warm temperatures yesterday.  There was some great skiing to be found on the steep black unpisted run of Lanches. After lunch, the snowstorm began.  Thankfully Les Arcs has some of the best trees skiing around so the afternoon was spent in the trees of Peisey Vallandry.

It looks like a lot of snow is coming our way and a lot of time will be spent in the trees in Paradiski this week. I hope the forecast is true but it will be a while before the avalanche danger settles due to the high winds that are also expected.
