Paradiski Snow Report & Weather Forecast 31.01.16

By JP of Aim Ski School
Today was a tough day on the hill.  The road between Arc 1600 and Arc 2000 was closed until 10am for Avalanche control.  That set the tone for the day with everything closed in Arc 2000 except the two lowest chairs.  With everyone packed into a very small area, conditions on the pistes became very challenging.
It looks unlikely that the high lifts will open again tomorrow due to high winds and snow / rain.  The rain / snow limit looks likely to stay high tomorrow with everything below 2,000m becoming rain affected.  The Avalanche risk is very high on all aspects and elevations so off piste is best avoided on all but the safest slopes.
Conditions should improve during the week with Wednesday forecasting a dry snowfall and colder temperatures.
