Paradiski Snow Report & Weather Forecast 11.01.16

By JP of Aim Ski School

Conditions were harsh at best today in Les Arcs.  Arc 2000 was closed all day due to the violent winds. There was new snow above 2,000m although the wind had distributed it sparsely.

All of the higher lifts were closed so the trees and lower slopes of Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Peisey Vallandry were the best places to ski. Give your skis a good wax with some fluoro wax for best results.

Everyone from Arc 2000 had to take the bus around the mountain today which meant huge queues from 4pm for the return journey. Les Arcs has laid on extra buses to deal with the demand.

The forecast is the same for tomorrow, lots of snow, lots of wind so head for the trees again.  My advice is to get out there early and make the most of the fresh snow before the crowds arrive on the buses from Arc 2000.

Conditions are due to improve greatly after Wednesday with cold temperatures forecast.
