The Angels got off to a flying start last night with a strong 12-6 win over Grenoble’s Aubagne Jokers in their first Elite match of the season.
Their strong form year after year has seen the roller hockey team rise through the ranks with promotions at the end of each of the last 3 years with them leaving the National 1 league to join the Elite league this season. The first half of the game saw the Angels rise to a dominant 4-0 lead within the first 6 minutes. The action was fast and a little rough but soon settled down with the Jokers getting their first 2 points on the scoreboard. The half-time score was a more evenly matched 6-4 to the Angels. The second half started off more sedately but the Angels soon forged ahead and dominated the experienced Grenoble team winning 12-6.
The local Montchavin team is partnered with Nice and play their home matches in Aime’s Gymnase.
