Tips from the locals, Paradiski: BBQs and Lobsters!

Olivier de MarionOlivier de Marion from Mountain Breeze IT Services says “With the warm sunny weather, take advantage of the BBQ at the bottom of the Inversens chair lift. The free to use electric BBQ and seating is already there, you just have to bring the sausages!”

Duncan SalmonDuncan Salmon from Alpine365 says “Now that the sun is shining and spring skiing is but a lazy-lunch away, mountain restaurants and great terraces really come into their own. But for something a little bit different, why not head to La Bulle at the bottom of the Arcabulle lift in the Arcs 2000 bowl. Whilst ostensibly a simple pizza and pint kind of a place, guests and staff alike have been raving about the seafood. That’s right, seafood – 2,400m up a mountain. Guests are raving because across a week’s skiing it offers something a little different from the usual cheese-and-potato fest, and staff are raving over the price – 16€ for a lobster. You heard me right, 16€ for a lobster! You’ll struggle to find that sort of price in the cafés on the Boston waterfront, let alone in a bizarre, dome-like structure half way up a mountain in the Tarentaise valley. So relax, pull up a deck-chair, and I’ll bring the oyster shuck!”

Lee HardingLee Harding from SnowPlaceLikeHome also agrees that “The best venue in Paradiski is probably the Bulle Café at the bottom of the Arcabulle lift. It has a varied menu for everyone, cheapest coffee on the mountain at 90 cents and a great atmosphere !”
